The Interesting Stuff

Katherine Lozada is originally from Colombia, where she studied International Business and earned her degree. After moving to the United States, she discovered a deep passion for Early Childhood Education and began expanding her academic and professional training in the field. At the same time, she had the opportunity to volunteer at a preschool, an experience that strengthened her connection with children and inspired her to pursue a new professional path.

Katherine continued her education at MassBay Community College, where she completed coursework in Early Childhood Education and earned certifications through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) as a Teacher, Lead Teacher, and Director. In recognition of her outstanding academic performance and leadership, Katherine was honored during the Night of Excellence in the summer of 2026 as a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), an organization she was invited to join based on her academic achievements.

Katherine later earned her Early Childhood Education Certificate. During the summer of 2025, she received a letter of recognition from the college’s Academic Vice President acknowledging her outstanding academic performance that semester.

Katherine has more than six years of experience working with children and has also had the opportunity to support children with special needs, including children with Down syndrome and autism. These experiences have enriched her perspective as an educator and strengthened her commitment to recognizing and respecting each child’s individual needs, abilities, and unique pace of development.

Katherine is known for her positive attitude, warmth, and friendly personality. She has a natural connection with children and believes that Montessori education provides an exceptional opportunity to guide them as they grow, helping them develop independence, confidence, respect, and a love of learning within a thoughtfully prepared, caring, and nurturing environment.

Katherine is certified in CPR and First Aid and truly enjoys being part of Montessori Escuela because of its educational philosophy, unique approach to teaching, and multicultural and multilingual community.

In her free time, Katherine enjoys skating and is a passionate soccer fan. One of her favorite activities is watching matches with her husband, especially the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
