The Interesting Stuff

Carolina Gonzalez was born and raised in Chile. She studied special education at the Catholic University of Maule. She worked for several years in a school for children with special needs, specifically with infants with developmental delays and children with Autism and Down Syndrome. There, she discovered her passion for educating and was able to understand how teachers can have a positive impact on the lives of children and also the importance of communication and working with families. While working in Chile, she was the monitor of a sustainable garden project that she implemented at the school with the help of the children and families, and she continued that work through our indoor sprout garden in Belmont.

Carolina arrived in Boston in 2017 and started teaching Spanish to toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten and elementary-aged children, implementing a new curriculum based on literacy skills. Now, with many years of experience educating, Carolina has added a Montessori credential to the mix and is convinced of the lifelong benefits of early childhood education and the great potential that children have in their first years of life, during that absorbent period from birth to age 6. During her free time, Carolina enjoys caring for nature, doing creative arts projects with children, and spending time with friends.
