The Interesting Stuff

Karen brings a wealth of experience and passion to our Montessori community. Originally from Chile, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and has dedicated over 15 years to nurturing young learners in Montessori schools across her home country. Her expertise extends to Spanish immersion Montessori programs in the United States, where she has cultivated a bilingual and culturally rich learning environment for children.

Karen’s teaching philosophy centers on fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. She believes in creating a warm and engaging classroom where every child feels valued and supported.

Karen moved to the United States with her husband, her young daughter, and her Kindergarten-aged son. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and taking long walks, embracing both creativity and mindfulness in her personal life
