The Interesting Stuff
Graziela was born and raised in Brazil and has lived in the United States for almost nine years. She is married and is a proud mother of one son. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Portuguese and English Language and Literature in Brazil. After moving to the United States, she continued her education with coursework toward a master’s degree in business management before beginning her journey in Early Childhood Education.
Her passion for working with children grew when she had the opportunity to help open and prepare a Family Child Care program for its licensing inspection. This experience gave her valuable insight into how an Early Childhood program operates and strengthened her interest in supporting children’s growth and development. She continued her journey in Montessori education, working as a Toddler Guide before joining Montessori Escuela. She started at Montessori Escuela as a Toddler Guide and currently works as a Preschool Guide.
Through her Montessori journey, Graziela developed a strong appreciation for the Montessori philosophy and its respect for children as capable individuals. She values creating a safe and respectful environment that encourages independence, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. She especially enjoys hands-on learning and allowing children to learn at their own pace.
Graziela holds a Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certification and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. She has completed Montessori Foundation Studies and additional Montessori training, such as Milestones Meeting, Toilet Training, and Positive Phrasing, as well as a Child Growth and Development course and various professional development courses in Early Childhood Education. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for her is seeing a child accomplish something independently for the first time. These moments of confidence and discovery inspire her to continue learning and growing as an educator.
Graziela has also been involved in her community as a volunteer, having served as President of the English Learner Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC) in Marlborough Public Schools. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, helping others, being in nature, going for walks, and discovering new places.
Graziela is grateful for the opportunity to guide children during such an important stage of their development. She is happy to combine her passion for Early Childhood Education with the Montessori philosophy and looks forward to supporting each child with respect, care, and dedication.
