The Interesting Stuff

Mairilin González has 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education in Venezuela, where she had the opportunity to support many children throughout their early years of development and learning—an experience that deeply strengthened her passion for early childhood education. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Mairilin initially studied Marketing and Advertising, but over time, she discovered that her true calling was working with children, which led her to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from José María Vargas University. After moving to the United States, she continued her professional journey in Early Childhood Education, beginning her experience at a daycare and later joining our Montessori school, where she continues to grow and expand her knowledge as an educator. After discovering the Montessori philosophy, she felt especially connected to its emphasis on independence, exploration, respect for each child’s individual pace, and learning through meaningful experiences. With a desire to further expand her knowledge, Mairilin also studied Child Growth and Development at Urban College, where she earned a certification in this area. For Mairilin, early childhood education is much more than teaching. It means guiding each child with love, respect, and patience, observing their individual needs and interests, and providing them with the tools they need to develop confidence, independence, and curiosity. She is very happy to continue growing as an educator and to have the opportunity to guide children through such an important stage of their lives through the Montessori philosophy.
